A strange "Gypsy" lick
I find this style of picking kind of interesting. As you can see you only pick half
of the notes. The rhythm is the same as drummer Joakim's bass drum and hi hat playing in
our song "Inner Revolution" from Spanking Hour, a
heavy metal samba tune. I based the lick on the first three
notes of the Gypsy scale, but of course you can use any
combination of tones you like.
Start on the 12:th fret on the high e-string (E) and pick downwards. Play the F on
the same string´s 13:th fret and the G# on the e-string´s 16:th fret legato. Then
pick upwards (G#) and downwards (G#) and "roll back" to where you came
from and begin forward.
